If you love wild animals and the outdoors, you'll enjoy this thriller, which takes place at a moribund ski resort in Montana that has reverted to near-wilderness. I found the dialogue kind of clunky and the plot rather predictable up until around page 200, after which the pace quickened greatly with some unexpected twists. The descriptions of the landscape and animals seem convincingly authentic, and I've signed up to read the author's next effort in this series.
