Although some of the book was a little confusing and needed some editing, I really enjoyed the story. I've read many vampire and ghost stories but none with this twist. The main character, Agent Rutledge, is very hard to like and I didn't start to accept her until later in the book. Maybe it's because a male author is writing from a female perspective. I wish the author explained Nick Anderson's back story as I found it to be quite frustrating to not know the exact details. I will be reading the second in the series and hope there is more of an explanation regarding Nick Anderson. Overall, I think it's worth a read.
