I wanted to like this book, but didn't enjoy it. Found the subject matter too graphic. I understand that the author based the narrative on some experiences that she had, but some of it was written in a way that was far more graphic than needed, keeping in mind that the average reader is reading this book for enjoyment. Maybe not a popular opinion, but was what I felt as I read the book.
