Becky (Bloomwood) Brandon and her new husband Luke take an almost year long honeymoon around the world. But Becky finds out that her world at home has been turned upside-down. Her best friend Suze, now a mother of 3 children, has seemingly found a replacement best friend who fits in with her new way of life. However, Becky also learns that she has a long-lost sister, so she's convinced that this is the perfect chance to have a new best friend. But Becky's plans of shared shopping experiences go awry when she learns that Jess HATES shopping and is very thrifty. She appears to be Becky's opposite in almost every way. Becky also learns that a secret purchase she made on her honeymoon could end up ruining her marriage with Luke due to a connection with a convicted criminal who now seems to want payback from Becky. Becky is determined to make both her relationship with her sister and with her husband work, but at what cost?

Once again, we see Becky get herself into the most bizarre jams- though this book has a bigger focus on her often disastrous attempts to forge a bond with her sister (though I was also highly entertained by Becky's attempts to hide the joint checking account statements from Luke as well as her secret and super-secret credit cards...not that you should keep things that like from your spouse, but it's funny to see how many "accidents" these statements have every month). In addition, the letters from creditors and banks that preface a number of the chapters as usual also get a new twist with a few from thrifty Jess as well. Although this book is quite entertaining, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two, I'm not really sure why. Still, it's worth the read to find out what happens with the Shopaholic characters you know and (for the most part) love.
