Not bad! I've never read Anne Stuart before and was pretty happy with this introduction. Actually what I'd heard about Anne Stuart was that she was known for having extremely alpha male leads, but I can't say this guy seemed especially out of place. Definitely not a push-over, but what do you expect from high-ranking medieval guys. Anyway, it'd been a while since I read a straight romance novel, so this was a nice change of pace!
