Yeah, I'm back.
This is the first of the sequels to the Percy Jackson series. The inside flap and Amazon can tell you more of what its about than I can, but was it good? Well, we have 3 viewpoint characters - amnesiac Jason, Piper - daughter of a movie star and Leo - an ADHD tinkerer and runaway. It opens with a bang and gets moving from there. The history of the half bloods is touched on again and Riordan still has fun adapting and modernizing gods, monsters and myths. Plus, the occasional touch of satire. The myths Riordan draws from are less well known - the Tvtnagbznpul - but still terrifying in their own way. Did I like it? Yes I did. I think I like it enough to see what the second book in the series is like.
