A Counterfeit Betrothal-Silly, Silly, Silly. This is one of Mary Balogh's early books. She is one of my favorite authors. This book was definitely not one of my favorites. I, from time to time, skip some superfluous text, but I skipped from the first 1/3 of the book to the end. The heroine was silly and the story was really unbelievable. Do Not Recommend you spend your time on this one. Too many books; so little time!
The Notorious Rake-Mary has redeemed herself. I loved this story. I was finally glad to know the 'rest of the story'. There had to be more to Lord Edmond Waite than his life in 'The Trysting Place'. The 'happily ever after' for the whole series came in this book. Really not a spoiler-I wondered throughout the story if Mary ever found out that Goodrich had a mistress and five illegitimate children. Recommend this one!
Give the four stars for this one. I have a separate review for 'A Counterfeit Betrothal' and gave it only one star...see review above.
