This book was actually a decent read about "The Rock" when he was growing up and into his career with professional wrestling. The stuff about his experience playing football wasn't all that interesting to me, since I'm not a sports buff. I first heard of "The Rock" because I've watched the WWF (now the WWE) since I was a kid.
Even though this book was published before Dwayne Johnson became a recognized actor, you can still feel the charm that oozes off this guy. He's not a whiner or a jerk but someone who knows how to take responsibility for his actions and actually grows as a person. I had to giggle and "oooh" when he talks about his wife, Dany, and their history together. The disapproval of her family when she started dating him because of several reasons is very easy to relate to, one of which is that he was broke and she was supporting him... although, I'm sure that her family has had to eat some crow by now with regards to their opinions of him.
Overall, this is a must-read for any fan of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
