This is the first Rachel Porter mystery. In this book she meets her recurrent boyfriend Santou, a New Orleans Police Detective. The characters of this story set in Cajun country are as colorful as their bayous, rural offbeat lifestyles and eccentric habits. This book is a fun read with suspense and wildlife issues thrown in.
