The second of the three book trillogy of the McKettrciks. This time it's Rance McKettrick who is unable to recover from his grief and guilt from the death of his wife. He burries himself in his job with McKettrickCo leaving the country and two young daughters jetting off on business every time the memories get too painful.

He meets Echo Wells, Indian Rock's new free spirited bookstore owner. She confuses his choices and raises memories he'd rather forget. But her straightforward honesty and reluctance to trust challenges everything Rance thought he knew about himself. When their irresistable attraction puts their hearts on the line, they both must come to grips with who they really are if they are to find happines.
