This is only my second book by MacKenzie and I absolutely hated it. Meg was so dumb I wanted to slap her and yell at her to stop acting like a 2 year old. Here is basically 100's of pages worth of Meg's thoughts summarized: I am willing to marry someone with nice plants so let's go tease some dirty old men. John is perfect, but I can't marry him even if I want to because I am being told to. It's my second season but no one is going to gossip about my scandalous ways because I'm telling the truth about the events. Moron.
I only read a few chapters before I decided I would regret wasting time on the rest. John was decent but not enough to carry the book.
Skip this one.
