I had a difficult time getting through this book. I wanted to read it because there is character who loves the Buffalo Sabres (and so do I!) and because of the critical acclaim. There were things I liked about it such as how Sabres history is cleverly connected to Korean history and the humor is witty, strange and unexpected. The writing is ambitious as the author plays with points of view (one chapter is written in second person), fonts, and images. I did not enjoy the books within the book. There were many characters and connections to keep track of and I just got lost. Maybe had I not read this during a busy week when I could have better focused it would have been more enjoyable.
