I very much enjoyed this well-written memoir which is really about the relationship between a girl/woman and her single father and the bonds that sharing time and ideas together create. I found it inspiring--and validating as I remembered the times I spent reading with my sons; of course it made me wish I hadn't stopped that once they learned to read. There;s nothing sappy in this book and parts of this were laugh-out-loud funny.
