Lots of action and an intriguing fantasy world. Obviously a set-up for more adventures, as the great big questions about Jame and the Kencyrath are raised but not even near to answered. I had a little trouble visualizing some of the action, but it wasn't a big thing. My copy has a list of characters in the front, and a good thing too, I needed it to keep straight who's who, who's related to who, and who's allied with who. No deep allegories here, just a good fantasy with a kick-butt heroine, lots of interesting subplots, and a multi-layered world.
