I enjoyed this story for the most part -- it moved easily from chapter to chapter, surprising twists, likeable main characters. But I do have a problem with mystery-thrillers that try to double as romance novels, as this one does. IMHO, raw sex-scenes don't belong in suspense novels, as they distract from the main story and just seem gratuitous when planted inside such a book. I think the author could have covered any romance with a bit more discretion and nuance.
