The first chapter reads like a textbook. Don't let that scare you off. After you make it through that the book gets very interesting. The protagonist of the book lives a favored life in North Korea, but starts to realize that there is something much better in South Korea. When he gives a forbidden book to a friend to read and the regime finds out, he realizes that is life is in danger. The story tells about his dangerous attempt to escape to China and the perils that await him there.
Great read. I give the book 4 stars.
