I love Justified and as this book is centered on the main character, Raylan Givens I thought I would enjoy this book. I was mistaken.
I am not familiar with Elmore Leonard novels so I don't know if all his writings are like this; the writing is choppy. Conversations are mostly cliches and unwitty quips. Also, he used characters from the show in ways that were unfamiliar to how they appeared on the show. I expected the main characters (Raylan, Boyd, Eva, Winona etc) to make an appearance but Leonard revived characters from the series that were better left dead.
I wanted to like this book. I am so glad that I checked it out from the library and didn't waste any money on it.
