Excellent book. Very, very hard to read at times.
The author explains a plague extremely well and leaves nothing to your imagination in her descriptions. The best part of this story is how the main character deals with the many tragedies that occur. The characters are well fleshed out and its amazing and bittersweet how the whole village handles everything. There are naturally those that don't think of others and are only concerned with themselves. It makes you think. What if? Would I or my family or town people handles things? Would we do better? Or worse?
