This was a very good book containing a bit of little-known history. I can't wait for all the grandkids to read it and see how fortunate theyare to have stable homes, but to realize it can all be taken away by a sudden turn in circumstances.
The resilience of the children was amazing. Often a heartbreaking story, yet also just as often a very cheerful story, this would be a good must-read book for the classroom.
