Wow, Maya Banks has a way with characters. This book touched on some hard topics. It's hard to read about a book where a woman is abused by her husband physically and sexcually, yet Maya Banks did a superb job in blending a hard topic with one of love, understanding and passion. I love how these characters strive to be together while trying to face the past. How can you not love a man who feels responsible for what happened. He can understand how he didn't see one of his best friends was doing.
