As a fan of historical fiction particularly set in the WWII years, I was excited to read this story. Unfortunately, I felt like it could have been fleshed out a little more; it was pretty confusing in the beginning. The plot was suspenseful, but the use of current slang and idioms not used at that time ruined itfor me, for example, at one point one character answered the other with â Whateverâ.
That particular expression wasn't even used until the1980's!
