Wow. What a way to tell a story about so many things. Space and a dictatorship as a way to tell a story about gender fluidity, STEM capability, socioeconomic issues, race issues, environmental issues, and others I'm surely missing because they're all packed in there.

There were a few places where I felt like it was a stretch to make the point or the needed connection, but wow, overall really streamlined and way better than I expected when I read the summary.

Read for the 2018 PopSugar Challenge as prompt 27. A book set on a different planet. And though technically it's not, it's set in space, the ship is very much like it's own planet (it's been in orbit for over 300 years), and it's my challenge so I'm counting it.

I also did this on audiobook and thought the narrator did a stellar (pun? intended) job.
