The whole concept of these 2 brothers, both of whom have limitations (one physical, the other psychological) is quite sad. People come in and out of their lives, but, no one ever maintains a relationship with them. I felt sorry for these men and kept wishing that their situation would improve. I have not read this authoe before, but, I like his style, and will look for his other works.
