Dairine comes into her own - that's been foreshadowed for the last two books - with twice as much talent as Nita. I like Nita a lot more, so I actually feel for Nita who's once again got to admit her younger sister is more talented, smarter etc. Dairine does a good job arguing against the Lone Power, but she might not have made any headway without Nita's little modification in book 1.
The computer-ese is of course completely outdated by now, so I'm not sure how a current crop of kids would react to it. I lived through that whole era so for me it's nostalgia.
