I made an oven mitt from the pattern in the book, and it turned out beautifully. When I was finished knitting, it was so huge and loose that it didn't seem possible that it would shrink to a useful size, but it did! It's gorgeous and wonderfully thick--now it's the only oven mitt I have that can get wet and still offer protection from hot pans.
