I enjoyed this book and do recommend it for a read if you like a suspense fiction without a high level of blood and gore.
The book brings some vivid settings, such as safari in Africa, an office in San Francisco and the harshness of the desert.
Sufficient, hidden conflict between Sam and Cocoa made for an entertaining read. That said, the story didn't provide a lot of information about some supporting characters, Danny and Quinn, who later become crucial to the plot.
A distraction from an otherwise good story was jumping back and forth in the time of the life of the story lead, Cocoa. The jumping back and forth was not difficult, as this was a pretty easy read, but it didn't add to the artistry of the novel. Would have been simple to add a timeline at the start of each Chapter where there was such a jump.
Few wrong word typos in story here/her that needed a bit more editing.
I received this book at no charge as part of the Goodreads first reads program. This is my honest feedback about this novel.
