I have to say wow. At first, I didn't think I was going to like it, but I picked it up again and really got into the story the 2nd time. It spans several generations and covers a lot of history from the right to vote for women, to prohibition and the freedom of the slaves. So jam packed full of details but still a fun read. I would have however liked to see what happened with Horatio's family at the end (aka Grandma Gardner) but all in all a fantastic book with a lot of history. Even a trip to Niagara Falls is mentioned. Wonderful book!
