Book Review of Twenty-Four Hours a Day

This is a tiny hard back, maybe 3"x 6"x 3/4". It has 364 days, one on each page, of thoughts, meditations, and prayers, for the day. On most days the thought takes up half the page, the meditation is most of the rest with a two sentence prayer.

The 'thought' is how A.A. works and asking how involved the reader is, how far they have come. The 'meditation' is usually on God and spiritual in nature. The 'prayer' is usually for some strength. An example "I pray that I may open myself to the power of God's spirit. I pray that my relationship to others may be improved by this spirit.".

The ending pages have the 12 steps and 12 traditions of A.A. and then the serenity prayer.

This book was helpful to my Grandfather in staying sober 26 years.
