This was my first Jodi Picoult book to read. Of all the titles I had to choose from, and every one was very popular and recommended, I chose The Tenth Circle because of the Lifetime movie that came on this past summer. I should have picked a different one to begin a new love for an author.
The story starts out well and is easy to read, but I found myself putting it down for long periods. By 3 quarters of the way, I found it a chore to continue. The whole story takes a different direction, literally, and took away from the entire story.
I will say, that I did develope a soft spot for the father in the story, but the girl, Trixie, I didn't care for. We won't discuss the mother, Laura. Not worth the ink.
If you are a Jodi Picoult fan, you should read this book, but if you are just starting out, chose a different title.
The movie? I enjoyed the movie.......
