Volume 1 of 2 volume Book Club Edition books. Having seen the mini series a number of time I was excited to finally red the novel. I will say that the mini series and the book parallel each other almost perfectly with the book giving a little more insight to the political agenda of all parties. I did find myself googling the characters as they came up in the book so that I could put a familiar face to the name. This has now become one of my favorite books and I' looking forward to reading volume 2 to finish up the saga.
