23rd in the series. Lucas Davenport gets a sticky political problem dumped on him, when Minnesota's leading candidate for the Senate is found to have child porn on his PC. The governor is sure it's a frame-up (it is), the candidate thinks his political rival is behind it (she is), and soon there's a trail of bodies. This one has a larg-ish part for the painter Kidd and his wife from Sandford's other series.
As always, action packed and suspenseful. I noted in the last book that Sandford for once didn't have Davenport kill the bad guy (someone else did), and again in this book Davenport leaves his gun in its holster. These books are much fun, and I enjoy them, but so similar I'm reduced to these little things in order to say something different about them!
