I have loved all three of this series, but this is by far my favorite. The story is complex and the characters wonderfully written. The sensual love story is so well done and the emotions of the hero and heroine as complex as any romance novel I've read. It was interesting to read in context about the class issues and the legal, banking laws of the times in this novel. Madeline Hunter writes so that the story never gets bogged down, but draws very clear pictures of the society of the time. There is a fouth in the series due out Jan '09. I for one, can't wait.
