This is a story of leaders, liars, counterfeiters, and jailhouse confessors. It's 1776 and some of Washington's bodyguards are part of a treasonous plot along with Gov. of NY William Tryon and Mayor David Mathews. I found this book to be very interesting, entertaining and historical. The plot shows how close we were to have lost the Revolutionary War. It is an interesting look at what was going on at the time of our nation's birth. The plot also lead to our modern day CIA. I would recommend this book to those who love history.
