This was nothing like a Sidney Sheldon novel. 100 pages in and....where was the strong female lead? Why was there so much exposition vs. scenes of dialogue for the plot development? Both are signatures of Sidney Sheldon's style, but were sorely missing from ANGEL OF THE DARK.

When the first wealthy old man was found murdered, his young wife raped and tied to him, I was intrigued....but by the 3rd or 4th redux, I couldn't have cared less who was doing it! The dots were placed much too far apart for me to care about connecting them.

I enjoyed Tilly Bagshawe's previous Sheldon novels, but she must've fallen asleep while writing ANGEL OF THE DARK because it was bitterly disappointing.

Despite the international settingsit takes you from California to England to France to Hong KongI was bored. I wasn't engaged enough to even finish it.
