Texana Jones and her husband live on the vast, hot Rio Grande, between Texas and Mexico. Though usually peaceful, strange things happen--like the death of an itinerant wood carver affectionately known as the saint maker. The pit bull found standing over the body is blamed for the death, but Texana has a feeling that someone intentionally sent her quiet neighbor to meet his own maker
