This is a story about two brothers and what happens to them in their lifetimes. Homer becomes blind as a teenager and Langley is gassed in WWI. It starts early in the 20th century and recalls various major events and their reactions to it. After Langley returns from the war, he is never the same. He starts reading and saving newspapers, picks up anything that fascinates him and doesn't throw it out, and even has a Model T put in their dining room. I liked this book and it was well written. A short easy read, but jam packed with a great story.
