I did not like this book. The first 80 pages or so focus on the murder of a young child (brutal murder) and the way the family dealt with it. Even though it is a work of fiction, it emotionally drained me after those 80 pages. Took me two days before I could pick up the book again. I would not recommend this book if you're looking for a light, spiritual read. Some of my friends LOVE this book, but they agree it is an intensely emotional book...so be prepared.
