I have read almost all of St. Robson's books and this one touched my heart the most. What a wonderful, but heartbreaking, story! It made me really think more about the white men trying to convert Indians into a "civilized" life-who is really more civilized? I also learned alot of the Comanche Indian way of life while enjoying a good story. I enjoy reading books that tell a good story, but as well as a story, you can learn something and take something with you from the book. This book does all that. One more thing-make sure you have Kleenexes handy near the ending!
