I really enjoyed the writing style of this book, I guess I enjoy a lot of details with a fun, understated humor which had me rolling. I haven't been to London but this book took us all over the place and it would be fun to tour the spots he talks about. There are lots of beasties, gods, and primadonnas in this world and I am excited to check out the next book.
Male lead who is a new cop, finds out there is magic in the world and apprentices to a wizard cop. The story is twisty and surprised me. I got a little confused at the end on how things worked, but it was action-packed and I couldn't put it down.
No romance, though he has crushes and hopes. Super fun urban fantasy.
