When antiques dealer Dora Conroy purchases a small painting and other unique items at an auction, she didn't know that she would become a target of International Smugglers. A few days after the purchase, her store was broken into. Dora also discovers that another dealer who bought items at the same auction has been murdered. She asks her new tenant, Jed Skimmerhorn for help. Jed is currently taking leave from the Philadelphia Police Department and has just moved into the apartment above Dora's antique store. Another break-in, this time in her apartment, lets Jed and Dora know they are involved with some shady characters who will stop at nothing to get their merchandise back.
This is an entertaining romantic suspense story. We know upfront who is behind the break-ins and murders, but it is fun to watch Jed and Dora piece everything together. Highly recommend! My rating: 4.5 Stars.
