This was a cute story and fast read - a lighthearted romance with an amusing and unique twist of a lonely child's imaginary friend.
It's a fast read because the author(s) made most of the chapters very short, which leaves a lot of white space on the pages. Some chapters are only a page and a half long. Not sure if this is to try to make it look like you're getting more book, or story for your money, or what. But this seems to be one of Patterson's traits - less book for the money and then using another author to cowrite. Maybe it's too much bother for him to do the writing himself now that he's so famous? It seems lately that the more famous, or popular, an author gets, the quality of their books and stories decline as they just start churning out anything to keep the money rolling in.
This is a cute book, but not one of his best. I would recommend it as a fun, quick summer read even though I am a little critical of the author in this review.
