She found it in a garage sale. The size of a large oval grapefruit, it had a long, curving handle, a small lid, and a delicate chain. Seven-year-old Ellen was sure it was Aladdins lamp and even though it cost a whole weeks allowance, she was thrilled with her shiny new treasure.
