Lady Grace has fulfilled her mothers dying wish and saw that her 6 sisters married happily. Her sisters happily ever afters, however, have come at a cost to Grace. She is almost 30 now and that is pretty much a one way ticket to spinsterhood in the ton. Her father has a bridegroom in mind for her, but Grace isnt willing to become this mans next victim. The only way she can convince her betrothed to not marry her is to lose the one thing he values most in his bride, her virginity. With the help of a close friend they come up with a plan to rid her of her virginity, and it works. Only the man who does the deed isnt willing to forget her. Vincent has some issues and isnt willing to let Grace slip away.
I dont know if its the mood I am in or what, but I feel like I have hit the historical romance lotto with the last two books I have read. Yesterday I finished and wrote a review on a historical romance that I absolutely loved, and today I flew through the second historical romance that has wowed me. Here I am happily sated after another day of good reading!
I love, love, loved Vincent and Grace. Grace, at times, broke my heart with her low self opinion, but her personality was outstanding. She kept her chin up no matter what came her way. Vincent's hang ups about his past wives and childbirth rang true and you could genuinely feel and sympathize with his fears and worries.
I cant think of a thing I would change about this story. I didnt get ANY housework done today because I just had to keep reading. Its excellent and incredibly sweet and romantic.
