This is the first book of a 10-book series that has a number of copies of most of the books in the series posted on PBS. I like books with a strong female lead and this is one of them. I have also enjoyed other sci-fi books with their emphasis on medicine and healing multiple species and this one fits that condition too.
For most of the book I found it to be a page-turner. However, I felt the last paragraph on the last page was a bit much, which is why I didn't give it the full five stars. Also, there is a cat in the story and I'm a dog person. :-)
