It's well written and the protagonist is really appealing (she's a bit like a teenage version of Sam Jones from her adult series). I'm all for a teen mystery where the lead is athletic and take-charge, but the book itself was overall disappointing. The mystery was fine, I just found the fact that it was completely unresolved at the end really frustrating. I have no problem with larger series arcs, but here nothing was solved or resolved. I'm sure all will be answered in the next book, but it's as if the publishers decided to print one book in two parts a year apart. Very annoying.
