A guy new to WBTS reenacting and his buddies take a trip from Minnesota to Corinth, Mississippi to take part in a hard core reenactment battle. He is killed by a sniper during the battle and the story revolves around a local cop and a former Minnesota policeman now a professional news photographer in their search for the murderer. You will be introduced to the world of WBTS reenacting, oddball Southern characters in their world where Sheriff Buford Pusser fought crime as these 2 men from different back grounds try to solve this case. I was impressed at the accuracy in the history of the Battle of Shiloh and the information about reenacting. Most of the men in this book are related by having served in the Gulf War. I enjoyed it and recommend it to others.
