COCKATIELS AT SEVEN got old fast. If Meg has snakes in the basement and birds on the third floor (without their permission), Meg and Michael have more serious family problems than "should we have a baby?"
I'd call this a cozy mystery because of the lighthearted view of the author. However, the author lost me when Meg got a babysitter (for Karen's toddler, that Meg was keeping) and she started chasing birds instead of Karen, who was missing.
This just isn't my cup of mystery.
