A fabulous book on finding peace in your daily life. Just reading the book alone will calm you and put a peaceful smile on your face! But don't stop there: put Hanh's simple, practical principles into practice in your own life and you'll keep that smile on your face all through the day.
Perhaps the biggest benefit I got out of this book is that the irritations at work don't seem to bother me as much anymore. You know how it is: a co-worker gets on your nerves; the boss wants that report ASAP and your desk is piled up to the ceiling as it is; the copier doesn't work; the computer network is down and tech is nowhere to be found.......you get the idea. Well, that kind of stuff used to get my blood boiling. But not anymore. I simply accept it and go with the flow.
Thich Nhat Hanh once said, "Smile, breathe, and go slowly." And that's the essence of mindfulness and the essence of this book. Mindfulness truly is a miracle. Give it a try!
