Jasmine Adams has come to Miami to take her twin sister's place while Jessica works on a big story. When she gets to Jessica's apartment, she finds Jessica is gone but her new bodyguard, Alex Romero, is waiting. Alex works for Bullet Catchers, a private organization who hires out to the rich. He has been assigned to guard Jessica who has been receiving threatening letters, but since she is already missing, he will protect Jazz. Alex and Jazz soon discover that Jessica is not working on a story, but really is missing. Now their mission is to find Jessica before a madman fulfills his promise to kill her.
This is the first book in St. Claire's Bullet Catchers series. I found the mystery/suspense portion of the book to be very interesting. I was surprised by who was behind Jessica's disappearance and liked the way the story was told. I wasn't as happy with the romance portion. I really liked Alex, but found Jazz a bit hard to take. She would just jump into the middle of situations without thinking about them. I also didn't think she loved Alex as much as he loved her. It was more like he was convenient to her since they were stuck together in Jessica's apartment. But, overall I liked this book and want to read more of the series. My rating: 4 Stars.
