Cornwall 1816
This is part of a series. However, since I am not familiar with them, I believe it can stand alone.
A duke is plagued with a curse that whoever he loves will come to an unfortunate end. Some ancestors in his line have had this happen - or so they believe.
After he meets the heroine, who is unknowingly decended from an enemy of his family, she is forced to try to make him see the error of this judgement.
Together they embark on a treasure hunt of sorts as they discover their love for eachother.
I liked it, but it wouldn't be moved to the top of my TBR pile.
